A few days ago, my friend Jeanette came to meet Sam and visit Theo (and us!), and she brought with her a big bag full of clothes that her son, Justin, has outgrown. Theo was very interested in the bag and wanted to know what was in it. "Some clothes for Sammy, when he gets bigger," I said. He replied, "I fink these are yucky ones!" I was a bit taken aback, as I couldn't figure out why on earth he thought Auntie Jeanette would bring us "yucky clothes"--until Chris pointed out that Jeanette brought the clothes in a garbage bag!
And here I just thought my preschooler had extremely discriminating taste in clothing... :-)
